About
Astrophysics and the art–science interface
I am an astrophysicist studying the fundamental question of the origins of planets, and I am deeply involved in the art–science interface through literature, science communication and education.
I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics at the University of Santiago de Chile, with a PhD in astrophysics from Oxford University. I direct CIRAS-AI and am the founding Director and current Alternate Director of the Millennium Nucleus for Young Exoplanets and Their Moons.
At USACH, I worked with the Physics Department to establish an astrophysics degree with a focus on data science. I also direct Astrodiálogos, founded Concierto Cielos, perform as a charango soloist and wrote Bitácora planetaria: Cazadores de Eclipses.
